here we are again
I am here, at least. Which is more than I can say for myself over the last month or so.
I have been desparately needing a job after having walked out at Taco Bell (it was every bit as much fun as I had hoped it would be). I can't seem to get motivated enough to apply everywhere yet tho. I've applied at some places I want to work at (coffee shops around town), but I'm afraid if I apply at someplace I don't actually want to work at, they'll be the ones that hire me right away. You know what I'm talking about.
However I think today is a good day to start looking for those less than desirable jobs, since I am coming to that bridge in my life. You know, the one where the tollman says, "Rent, please, " and won't let you pass Go or collect $200. (Was that enough metaphors for you? ;))
One of my friends is hosting a Christmas masquerade party this week and she's upset because no one seems to want to come. I am automatically on the guest list because I told her I'd help out with some music for it. I don't really know what to say to her, but my guess is that there is a combination of factors that are detracting from the appeal to those limited people who do hear about it. First, a mask is required- (full costume encouraged), and second, it's not free. She has decided to rent a building, so the door fee is $5 per head. I hope she's not too disappointed if no one comes. There will be prizes and games and things, so if you want to come, let me know and i'll put you on the RSVP. It's this coming sunday evening, don't remember the exact time.
In an attempt to avoid going broke even faster, I've taken to avoiding fast food altogether. This is quite the accomplishment for me, since I would normally go to Taco Bell every day or so (yes, even after I quit). Someday I just know i'm going to snap and go on a binge.. if you're anywhere near 9th and Rose in Walla Walla when this happens, you'll hear me ;).
Well, time to shower and go look for unwanted jobs.
